Missions Trip Finally :)
So I’ve been back for almost a month now and have finally got round to writing this! I have been really busy since getting back and had all sorts going on. I only have four days of school left and just handed in all my homework a couple of days ago so my time has freed up a lot now! Anyway here is a bit about what I got up to when I was away and how God changed so many lives in the process!
I’ll start with Uganda… So the first thing I noticed when landing in Entebbe, Uganda was the only other aeroplanes on the runway were big United Nations cargo planes. We were greeted by what looked like 18 year old men/boys with machine guns. Welcome to Africa! We piled on the bus and drove for 5 hours to our accommodation on the Nile in Jinja. The bus ride was hilarious i must have fallen a sleep 50 times and been woken up from my head crashing against the window or seat infront of me, the ‘roads’ in Africa are on the slightly bumpy side of life! When i was awake and not in a delusional state I noticed that there were people everywhere in all sorts of different uniforms carrying all sorts of different guns!
So we were staying in a beautiful place on the banks of the Nile river. It reminded me of Fiji, kind of a tropical paradise. There were all sorts of birds and insects and MONKEYS haha! This was our base for four days. We went out and did a few different ministry things there. One of the first things we did was go to a home for girls who had been taken in off the street. I think there were around 40 or 50 there. They had asked some of the local kids to come along too so there were some boys there as well. The girls are pretty much seen as the lowest of lows and treated like scum in their society. Women are below men and they they have been thrown out of home so all this adds up against them. Most of them were from a tribe which is seen as scum too, so apparently these girls were as low as you can go. We were greeted by some of the friendliest faces ever though. They were amazing! We shared a bit with them about what Jesus has done for them and taught them that they are powerful in Him. It was amazing! We prayed for them all at the end and around ten or so accepted Jesus as their saviour for the first time.
On the Sunday we were in Uganda, we split up into four teams of four and went to speak and minister at four different churches. The Church I went to was crazy! The praise and worship was nothing like our nice and orderly western worship. The worship band was a man down the back on a casio keyboard, he would just turn a drum beat on then play the melody. They had multiple pastors up the front leading the worship. There was a group of 20ish people dancing up front too. It got pretty wild haha! People were dancing with chairs over their heads and they had a Ugandan Benny Hinn going nuts! It was an amazing experience, hopefully and can get some video’s up to give you a taste… The service was really cool all round with people being touched and healed by God.
Our last day in Uganda was spent rafting down the Nile for 5 hours, GLORY!!!!! Haha it was amazing and is seen as one of the 10 best places to raft in the world. Our guides were hilarious and we had some good team bonding moments when we were flipped out multiple times in the rapids and had to fight for our lives haha (wasn’t that bad)! Lots of our team got really sun burnt but thanks to the many years of conditioning myself under the brutal New Zealand sun, I just went brown!
Onto South Sudan! We flew there on 20 passenger plane. I was a little surprised when we landed at Yei international airport… The dirt runway and tiny tin shed weren’t quite what I was expecting for an international airport but it was a sure sign we were in South Sudan! We went through ‘customs’ which was two slightly dodgy guys in the tin shed stamping our passports. The missionaries met us there and we loaded up on the ‘Midnight Glory’ (a big tipper truck) and headed to the IRIS base. There wasn’t a lot to see as we drove through town, just some tin shack/ stores lining the road and an old burnt out army tank. Travelling in Sudan is ridiculously slow because the roads are all dirt and filled with holes so the driver has to carefully navigate his way around the small canyons…
As we drove into the IRIS base all the kids ran behind the truck singing and dancing. As soon as we jumped off the back we were swarmed by kids! They all wanted a hug and to help carry our bags etc.. The kids there were incredible! There were 130 of them. They were always wanting to help out whether it be burning your rubbish for you or doing your washing (all by hand of course and the folded/ ironed it for you). The type of people I like to surround myself with :)
The base was actually quite nice compared to the rest of the city. The kids slept in rooms of about 20 in bunk beds. There is no running water in the whole city so you poo in a hole and shower with a bucket haha. They had a well in the middle of the base which is like the life source… There’s hardly a moment that goes by during the day when no one is drawing water from it. It provided refreshment in the way of water fights on hot days for us too! The kids would stand around and laugh at the stupid white people throwing water at each other.
On our second day there we headed into town to do some outreach. We met the local pastor of the kids home, John, at a place called freedom square. He is an incredibly inspirational man who walks in so much power and authority. He has the craziest testimonies of the wildest stuff including his well known run in with a witch doctor (mind blowing)! Anyway freedom square is a big soccer pitch, a mixture of dirt and rocks with painted white lines on it and some goal shaped things at the end. There was a small pavilion there which had a roof so provided shade. Considering it was soooooo flippen hot we decided to just jump up and open air preach right there. We rounded up a crowd of about 60 odd people and one of our team mates, James, started preaching with John translating. He kept it simple and about 8 people responded to the salvation call. As they were being led in prayer the rest of us got up and started calling out words of knowledge for healing. Not many people were wanting to respond to that too but six brave men came forward and I think all were healed. John then had them testify infront of everyone then we asked all the sick to come up. We had the guys who were healed pray for the others and they began getting healed too. The people had lightened up a bit by now and were much more receptive. A couple more of out team members jumped up and started telling testimonies and preaching the gospel. We had another salvation call at the end and someone counted 115 hands raised so I would say that there was between 100 and 150 salvations there (hard to tell cause it was all over the show, revival isn’t always pretty haha). We then had everyone sing a song that goes something like “I once was a sinner but Jesus set me free, I once was a sinner but Jesus set me free, I once was a sinner but Jesus set me free, singing glory hallelujah Jesus set me free” and everyone was dancing and clapping as they went through a fire tunnel we made. I was truly amazing. Thank you Jesus!!!!
It’s incredible how easy most things were on the trip. Healing’s and salvation’s and all that goodness isn’t hard, we just have to let the Holy Spirit loose and watch things blow up!
We went to the hospital a couple of days later and prayed for the sick. Once again it was nothing like our western world hospitals. The environment was quite tough and we didn’t see the whole hospital cleared out but people were still healed. I preached outside in the ‘courtyard’ of the hospital where lots of the family members of the sick were (the families are responsible for feeding and looking after the sick, the doctors and nurses only give them medicine and other medical attention). There were probably 60 people gathered around. I had nothing prepared but just gave a straight gospel message on the fly. It’s easy with a translator because you only have to think of one sentence at a time haha! I think around 10 people gave their lives to Christ and more people were healed. It was a different experience seeing a hospital like that and the atmosphere felt very thick and almost hopeless but we spread the love of God through prayer and hugs and our secret weapon lollipops haha! We went back about a week later as well and prayed for the sick again. We saw more healing’s, Thank you God!
We had two more really amazing outreach times. One was at the local village just down the road from where we were staying. We put on an event for all the kids. We made balloon animals, gave out candy and did a play for them. A couple of our team members spoke too. One of them lead the kids in an encounters time. A few of the kids there said they saw Jesus and He said something to them! Crazy stuff! By the end I would say around 50-70 kids and maybe 10 adults invited Jesus into their lives. Once again it was so easy, we just let the Holy Spirit do all the work haha! We also had a ministry time at the end and saw more healing.
A couple of days before we left we headed to the prison which is right in the middle of town. I had no idea it was there. I don’t imagine it would be hard escaping with the fences only being about 7 foot hight and there were multiple parts missing barbed wire. The only thing is you would have to risk being shot by the guards sitting in the towers at the corners of the walls. Anyway all this to say that it was not the usual prison but what is usual to me in Africa!?!? So when we arrived all the prisoners had gathered on seats under some shade. The prison minister handed it over to us and we charged straight into it. We sang a couple of their local worship songs then moved into the preaching. Two of our guys shared. At the end I think every prisoner (probably around 150) raised their hands for salvation. I know some of them would have received Christ before but this was amazing. The presence was so thick and you could feel a real shift in the atmosphere. These were broken people being set free from all sorts of bondage. We prayed for all those who wanted prayer at the end too. The main thing I got asked to pray for were people having bad dreams. Lots of the guys couldn’t sleep because of nightmares. There’s no doubt in my mind that it is a demonic thing so I prayed against that. One of the guys apparently would be visited by what he said was the “ghost” of his father. I taught him a few tools on the spot to deal with this but it’s really hard when you can’t follow this stuff up. One of the cool things for me was that I prayed for a guy who said he had really bad vision and it was getting worse everyday. After I said a simple prayer (I’m not into long winded prayers haha, especially when there are lines of people wanting prayer) he said his vision was clear and better. This was especially cool for me cause I really wanted to see a blind person’s eyes open on this trip but I didn’t get a chance to pray for any blind people so this was the closest thing. Thank you God!
We did a lot of other ministry while we were there from running a pastors conference and activating them in healing and the prophetic etc, to blessing the local missionaries and kids at the home we were at. The whole time we were seeing people so moved by God’s love and being healed physically and emotionally. We just released the Holy Spirit where ever we went and watched the miraculous break out. I can’t express how easy it is, all we were doing was taking a step of faith.
Probably the biggest thing I realised on this trip was how the western world doesn’t really understand the spiritual world. There is so much demonic activity and witch craft in Africa that I had no clue about before going there. People are put under curses by witch doctors all the time making them sick and sometimes even killing them. It is so unjust! Kids are being cursed and possessed by demons. It is so common that all the locals can point out, and will point out someone who is possessed even if they don’t believe in God. The demonic realm is just a straight up reality to them. So much of their sickness is due to spiritual affliction. I am beginning to think more and more that we often underestimate how much of sickness is actually a spiritual thing.
All up it was such an amazing and life changing trip. I learnt so much and it was so good to put into practice what we have been learning and getting out of the Bethel incubator. I am learning everyday how to “love the hall out of people” haha. The goodness of God is mind blowing. I am constantly being blown away by how much He actually cares about us and how much more He wants to meet with us than we do with Him.
Anyway I have countless stories from my trip and no doubt you will hear a lot of them over time. I realise I got less and less descriptive as I was writing this. There is just so much to tell!!! Thanks so much for all your support. I had an amazing time and didn’t get sick once! Since being back four of our 14 members have got malaria but have all recovered and I think we are in the safe zone now haha. Not sure if they are going to let a team go back next year because of that…
Keep hungry for God and seek out all His promises. You’ll be blown away by His goodness and love, I promise! I’ll be praying for you and please keep praying for me :)
Oh and there are lots of photo’s of our trip on my facebook page but I will try and put some up here too!
Love you guys lots,
Andy!
Sudan!
Well in four days time I will be on my way to South Sudan… The reality of this hasn’t really hit me yet. SUDAN!!! So we leave on the 21st and are back April 9th. We are spending four days in Uganda as well. I know this trip is going to be crazy and I think God has really set me up to be rocked! I never thought I would be going on a missions trip to Africa this year but somehow, for some reason, God has put me on this trip.
So we are meeting up with IRIS ministries in Yei, South Sudan. We will be staying with them on their base. We are taking tents over to sleep in, so that’s going to be a fun time crammed into tents in 1000 degree heat haha! We will have all sorts of ministry opportunities from going into hospitals and praying for the sick to preaching in the local villages. We will also be partnering with IRIS and the things they are already doing.
I am getting really excited because I know we are going to see God do great things. When you are going around loving people and sharing with them the goodness of God, things will happen. I have some personal dreams that I really want to see come true and I’m really confident that’s going to happen.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me financially and in prayer. Being on this trip is a real testimony of God’s goodness and provision. Please, please, please keep praying for the team and I over the next few weeks. South Sudan has quite a violent history so safety is a big thing. Also sickness, we dont wont to be held back by any form of sickness, so if you could pray for us to be completely safe and healthy, that would be amazing. When you’re done with those boring prayers haha, pray that we will be a true witness to the people of God’s love and goodness. I feel like this could be a real fatherless nation that needs to know their identity in Christ and truly know God’s perfect love that casts out ALL fear. Pray that the Holy Spirit will turn up in ridiculous measures, and everywhere we go we will be overflowing so the Spirit pours out all over. Get creative with your prayers because God likes to be creative and blow our minds! The last thing is for favour and smooth travelling etc…
Thanks so much team! I pray that you guys will encounter God and His heart for you, like never before over the next few weeks. I will write a report after the trip about how everything goes, and all the amazing testimonies. Because of where we are going I probably wont be able to update you when I’m over there but if i do somehow get to the internet I will probably write on Facebook, so you could check my page from time to time if you want.
Love you guys,
Andy :)
2012 Onwards and Upwards!!!
Well here it is folks, my much anticipated update (or not). What an amazing last few months I’ve had! It has truly been incredible and life changing!. I feel like i’ve come such a long way in such a short amount of time.
So what’s happened???
Well I’ve been at school now for 3 months, learning more and more about God’s goodness and all the amazing stuff He has for us. School has been so much better than I ever imagined and is really helping me to build great foundations in my life. I have been really challenged which is awesome but frightening at the same time! It has really been an eye-opening experience.
The biggest changes…
I think I’ve found the biggest change has just been all my mindsets and attitudes haha (only a small thing to change). The way I view myself and just generally everything in life has changed a lot. My relationship with God has gone to far greater heights and this is the root of all the change. I am getting to know and see God as my Father more and more. I am learning more about His characteristics and who He really is, however I still have a LOT to learn! I am learning what it truly means to wok in sonship. Walking in grace and live is so much better than walking in judgement and fear! The whole issue of grace has been huge for me and I’m constantly learning more about it. Not just grace for forgiveness but grace to receive gifts from God and partner with Him.
Another big focus in my life lately has been learning about the presence and how to live in the presence more. I have been taking a class called “cultivating the presence” and it has blown my mind! It is the best class I’ve ever taken in my life PERIOD (even better than lunch time)! Developing my relationship with the Holy Spirit and realizing how much fun it is to have him walk with you throughout everyday life!!! Practicing the presence is so easy and it’s something that I want to focus more on.
There is a lot of crazy stuff that happens at Bethel and a lot of people who seem like nut jobs! I have learn’t a few valuable lessons from this though. If you are not used to this sought of environment, which I was not, then when you first walk into school you’re bound to get a bit of a surprise. It is hard to focus on God and what He is doing when there are people in the room who are manifesting like a headless chicken! It is so important though during meetings like that just to take your analytical cap off and really press into the presence and the work that is going on. You can analyze afterwards but you don’t want to miss what God is doing then and there. One of the prayers they get us to repeat all the time in our cultivating the presence class is “Jesus, turn this off (pointing at your head) and turn this on (pointing at your heart).” Sometimes we just have to deactivate our brains and engage our spirit. It is really hard not to judge others around you and get offended. The lessons I’ve learn’t through this have been very valuable though and helped me receive break through in my life.
The last couple of weeks over christmas break I have been staying with a friend and his family in San Francisco. It has been an incredible time and God has really worked through us during this time. Ever since we arrived we have just had awesome encounters with people and a chance to bless them, challenge them and encourage them in their journey with God. It has been a real confidence booster for me and so encouraging to see what happens when you let the Holy Spirit out hah! I am really starting to realize what we carry with us. I feel like people know that you carry something special, almost as if their spirit can sense it. I was speaking with David the other day and telling him how I believe our spirits are giants and maybe that is what other people’s spirits pick up on. This is all just a very loose theory of mine that I haven’t based on any scripture so it could quite likely be wrong but I do feel as though what I carry has an impact on the environment around me even if I don’t physically do anything. I kind of based part of this theory on and experience I had the other day. David and I were just going for a run and as we were casually running along the side walk there was a guy walking towards us about 30 meters away. He looked normal then all of a sudden he started jumping up and down and running towards us like he wanted to fight. He was yelling something but I couldn’t understand. We just calmly ran around him and continued on our way as he continued yelling at us. We both felt like maybe it was a spiritual attack because we were in a busy ish part of Davids town and there were a lot of people around, so I can’t imagine he had been doing this to everyone walking past otherwise most likely round here he would be in the back of a police car. It was weird but we have heard stories from speakers at Bethel where people have come against them because of spiritual things, like the person could sense what they carried. Once again I’m not sure on any of this stuff but it’s interesting to look into.
So what lies ahead in 2012?
Well I have a really amazing year coming up. School will just keep getting better I’m sure and I’m bound to be learning lots and growing! I am also heading off to Sudan in March for a missions trip which will probably rock my world! I’m still undecided on whether or not I will come back and do second year. At this stage I would like too just because it’s where they really develop you into leaders and I’ve only heard amazing reports about it from second year students I’ve spoken too. One thing is for sure, I will be back in New Zealand around the end of June and am really excited about seeing friends and family and hopefully giving away a lot of what I have received.
I am at a really unique stage in my life where I can pretty much decide what I want and go get it! At least try anyway. The next few months I’m really going to start dreaming with God and decide what i want to focus the next part of my life on and who I want to become. There are a lot of awesome tools I’ve learnt lately that will help me reach my full potential so I’m excited about activating those. One thing for sure is that my dream/ vision will seem big and be something that isn’t achievable without God. A favorite saying around Bethel is that “if your dreams don’t scare you, then you’re not dreaming big enough!” That thought alone scares me but it is also a really exciting prospect!
Anyway the last few months have blown my world apart! I am so thankful and blessed that I can be here. Thanks so much for all the support! My relationship with God is getting stronger by the day and I am feeling His presence and being led by it so much more. I am coming to truly know my identity in Christ and what that means. Learning to walk in sonship and knowing where i sit (in heavenly places). Pretty much I am the best I have ever been and am so excited about what the future holds!!!
Bless you guys, and I pray that God will encounter you this year like never before, and that you will know His fathers heart for you more and more!
Andy.
Hopefully this link will answer some of the questions you guys have had about the glory cloud that keeps turning up at Bethel…
Treasure hunts in San Fran
Sorry I haven’t updated you for a very long time haha! It’s been a combination of being really bussy and lazy at the same time! I have had a lot on my mind so this kind of got pushed to the back. I’m on christmas break now and staying with a friend and his family in a town called Pacifica which is on the coast in San Francisco. I’ll be here till the 8th of January so I promise to get you all up to date with what is going on in my life by then. Here’s a cool thing about what we did yesterday…
I have just copied a section out of my online diary about our trip into the city in San Fran yesterday… It was an amazing time out on the streets worshiping and doing a treasure hunt. Hope this encourages you! Sorry about the spelling and things, it’s from my journal so I’m not so fussed about all that stuff but hopefully you get the idea :)
The next day, Sunday was amazing haha! Davids brother in law Matt, suggested we head to Haight street where there is a lot of foot traffic and shops. His suggestion was to go and sing worship songs there but David suggested a treasure hunt too. GREAT IDEA!
We found a parking spot right on the corner of Haight and Ashbury which was the first miracle. David and Matt sat in the back of the truck worshipping but i was more focussed on witnessing haha!
My first encounter was cool. I spoke with a homeless looking guy and he told me that He had received Christ but he wasn’t sure if he could be forgiven for what he’d done in the past. He went on to explain that he had been in the military… I prayed for healing emotionally and mentally from any scarring left by his experiences in the military. I also was able to encourage him and let him know that he had been forgiven!
I was standing infront of the truck and a guy with a black cap on walked past (black cap was on my list). I asked if he had any back pain (also on the list), he was hesitant but said yes he had lower back pain but not super bad. I explained how God was good and wanted to heal him and all that jazz then just before I prayed I asked him his name. It was Isaac (also on the list) so I had to show Him my treasure map. He was pretty stoked haha! Before i prayed he said he couldn’t touch his toes so i prayed and he tested it. It was still a little sore but he said it felt looser so I prayed again. He tested it and said there was more improvement and he could touch his toe Hallelujah! I prayed one last time and he said it was way better and that it was much freer and concluded it was a miracle haha. We talked more about Jesus and he sid he had been baptised about four years earlier by a priest but wasn’t really following Jesus to well with his everyday life. I got to encourage him more and bless him, then send him on his way. Thank you Jesus!
Next cool story was when David and I were just walking up the street. We saw a big guy with two dogs wearing a black cap so i asked if he had knee pain (on the list) he said yes but he was in a hurry. I quickly explained God was good and loves to heal people. He said his name was Phil, I had Philip on my map haha more things lining up. David and i prayed quickly for his knee and afterwards the pain had gone from a 7 to a 2! Thank you Jesus. You could tell something had happened from his body language as he walked off testing his knee out. The cool thing was this is the kinda guy i would normally be afraid of, he was probably around 6,5 tall and looked mean. He had two tear drops under his eye too. I didn’t feel afraid at all, in fact i wasn’t afraid once all night.
Last highlight story was when we were heading back to the truck. I asked a guy if his name was John, he said no and was curious what we were doing. He told us his name was scott and that it’s kind of close to John, haha sucker didn’t know what he was in for! We spoke to him quickly about experiencing God and stuff then asked him if he wanted to experience God. David got him to hold out his hands and say “Holy Spirit come”… He said it about three times and then said he felt something. He went and got his friend because he said my friend has to experience this too. I spoke with Him while David prayed with his friend. We both ended up speaking to the friend then I asked him if he had a liver problem because I knew it was on David’s map and I felt like this guy had something wrong either with his kidneys or liver. He said he did so we prayed for healing and blessed him then we left. Another awesome experience all from just stepping out with a word of knowledge. Even the my first word of knowledge was wrong (his name wasn’t John), it led to the whole conversation.
We also had a crazy experience when we were pulling into matts house we saw a glow coming from the beach. David, Grace and I walked the track out to the beach to see if it was a bonfire. We got out there and the light was gone but on the way there we had seen some homeless guy so David said o well I guess this whole walk was just to talk to that guy. On the way back we were just approaching him when i kicked a scarf on the ground. David picked it up and asked if it was his. He said it was. David noticed it was a rainbow coloured stripy scarf which was on his treasure map from earlier that day. He told the guy about the treasure hunt we’d been on and we started talking to him about God. He said he believed in God and Jesus but needed us to help him be forgiven for his sins… he walked right into it!!! We had the amazing honour of telling him about how we can get right with God then David led him through a prayer! Hallelujah!!!! Jesus is so amazing haha!
The others had some really encouraging encounters too. It’s such an amazing privelege to be able to share what we’ve learnt with others and make our break throughs theirs. Davids family are hungry for this stuff so being able to teach them the “revivalist” way of life is so cool! It’s also great to be able to celebrate with them and encourage them every time they step out no matter what the result. This life style is addictive I warn you haha!!!
Thank you Jesus! It’s amazing how He uses us in the most amazing ways when we chose to face our fears and rejection because I’m not gunna lie there is a lot of rejection you have to face but I feel like I get whacked more and more by God every time i get rejected hah!
Life is so much more exciting when you are naturally walking in the super natural! It’s the way it is meant to be!!!
Update…
So it’s been a while… Been really busy NOT haha! we have had the last four days off and have another two days to go because of a conference at Bethel.
So I guess I have just been falling more in love with God and His presence since I last wrote. I am continually blown away by how much God cares about all the small things in my life and how He just keeps hooking me up in amazing ways! Bill Johnson spoke a while ago about getting to a point of intimacy with God where He starts answering your thoughts not just your prayers. So he was saying that we might look at something and think for half a second that we would like that but then we move on and boom, next thing you know that thing arrives on your door step.
I have been getting to know God more and more as a Father, Daddy! It is so great!!! God is just so GOOD! haha! We often place characteristics on God that are just the complete opposite to who he is. We can often see God as being far more serious than what He actually is, God likes to have fun too HAH! You may have seen the glory cloud video I posted a couple of weeks ago, this sought of thing seems so pointless but in actual fact it is just revealing more of God’s character. What is the point of gold dust and gold teeth?! I don’t really know but it’s AWESOME, and just so glorious haha! They had another glory cloud a couple of days ago at the Sunday night service at Bethel. Unfortunately I wasn’t assigned to that service so missed it AGAIN! I am confident that this stuff is going to start happening far more regularly though so I’m not too disappointed because I know it’s just a matter of time before I’m standing in the middle of it. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if it happened at our house church at some stage. The last glory cloud went on for much longer, a few hours I think. Apparently people would go up to the front and share a testimony and then the glory cloud would stir up more. hahaha so amazing!
I have also been learning not to contain God which we can so often do. Sometimes we will look at something and will decide whether it is from God or not, but this can be dangerous because we start to limit God and put Him in a box. I don’t ever want to put God in a box again!!!
I was also convicted the other day when I saw a lady in the street with one leg. I didn’t really want to go pray for her because I thought that her leg will never grow back. I realized I had made the problem bigger than God. I repented right there and am now making a conscious effort to remember how HUGE and MIGHTY God is and that their is no problem to great for him! If God can heal a head ache then He can grow a leg out haha! If only we knew how easy it is!
MISSIONS! So exciting news, I found out a few days ago that I’m going to Sudan at the end of march. Haha it’s going to be crazy. I think it’s kind of dangerous, apparently hah! I’ve heard things like kids running around with ak-47’s (machine guns). I’m going with a team of 15 and we are joining up with a lady from IRIS ministries over there (IRIS ministries is the same ministry Heidi Baker is with). I am so pumped because I know that we are going into a land of destruction and that we will see CRAZY miracles and peoples lives transformed by the greatness of God! I will let you know more about this later on.
So yea that’s pretty much my journey with the Father at the moment! I encourage you all to seek His presence and soak in it. The more you do this the more you will change and come to know God’s character. Your hunger will just intensify! Honestly the greatest part about tus stage of my life I think is getting out of all the rush and pressures of life and just seeking God. I never want to push God to the side again because my life is too busy to hang out with him.
Peace, Love and Blessings,
Andy
GLORY!!! So last friday night at the open heavens conference at Bethel a glory cloud came. Unfortunately because it was a conference I wasn’t there so missed out BOO! Apparently it was CRAZY though. I had mates there who told me all about it and that Sunday Bill’s message was about “signs that make you wonder” and how they believe that these things are going to start happening more frequently and outside of church buildings.
So this glory cloud was apparently made up of gold dust and it was rising rather than falling, although there was a lot of gold dust that did fall. The video isn’t very good but gives you a little idea, there are more videos on youtube but they aren’t very good either. They said the cloud was so thick that from the stage you couldn’t see the wall on one side. There were a lot of people who got gold teeth and filling etc during this. The funny thing was it happened at about 11pm when most people left, there were only about 150 people still worshipping and praying… That will teach people to leave early HAH!
I set up the chairs everyday at school and on the Tuesday after set up I looked at my hands and they were covered in gold dust that had rubbed off from the chairs haha! One of the guys from our neighbourhood was there and he has his shirt at home that still has gold dust on it, I don’t think he’s ever going to wash it haha!
Anyway have a look and see what you think… How cool would it be if this stuff really did start happening in the public?!
